Dramatic Arts Level I
Time Period: 8 months
Entrance Requirement: successful completion of Certificate in Theatre Foundations or equivalent, statement of purpose, audition, interview
Programme Description
Dramatic Arts Level I offers a full schedule of theoretical and practical classes as well as hands-on practical training on the Studio Stage. The focus of Dramatic Arts Level I is general skill development within theatre. Students hone their skills in acting, study the fundamentals of theatre management, and further their interest through elective courses.

Dramatic Arts Level II & III
Time Period: 16 months
Entrance Requirement: successful completion of Acting, Dramatic Arts, or Technical Theatre Level I
Programme Description
The focus of Dramatic Arts Level II & III is leadership development within the arts. A number of specialized courses enable the student to explore areas of special interest, such as writing, directing, or producing. Students are encouraged to audition for productions on the Studio Stage, the Opera House, the Canadian Badlands Passion Play, and other projects, in addition to working in various areas of technical theatre and completing a Final Project.
Eligibility for attendance at Theatre Alberta’s Emerge Auditions will be determined by the Education Team. Course work in Mentorship Level II & III is scheduled around each student’s individual time table. Dramatic Arts students must complete 45 credits to graduate.
