Discover the Self
All of us, deep down, if we’re honest with ourselves, want to be discovered.  We want to be known… intimately… and loved unconditionally.  Rosebud School of the Arts offers a place where people can come and have the opportunity to be discovered.  This is accomplished through training in the arts, and more specifically theatre. 

If we are to be honest as artists, we must be willing to expose the very core of our being in a very public way.  We must be willing to be discovered.  The same is true if we are to be honest as human beings and as Christians, although this is not practiced as often as one might hope.

In the classroom at Rosebud School of the Arts, students discover and develop their complete and unique self to the end of producing honest, caring, and talented graduates, who have the skills and the heart to make a difference.  This difference translates into challenging and compassionate story-telling in a world that so desperately yearns for theatre to transport the heart, mind and soul.

Our affiliation with Rosebud Theatre, Alberta’s largest rural professional theatre, gives students the unparalleled opportunity to practice their craft in a working theatre, honing their skills with experienced theatre professionals, as they prepare for a career in the performing arts. 

Every year thousands of Rosebud Theatre patrons discover the artists who have trained at Rosebud School of Arts.  Through productions at the Rosebud Opera House and the Rosebud Studio Stage, through graduates creating their own work, through alumni breaking into the broader professional theatre world, budding artists are given the opportunity to discover and share the God-given gifts they have inside themselves.

With a staff of gifted instructors, including professional artists and instructors from other universities and colleges, Rosebud offers an education that combines the best of all worlds: solid training, caring instruction, and practical application.

Discover the Spirit
Rosebud School of the Arts, nestled in the quaint hamlet of Rosebud, Alberta (approx. pop. 100), offers quality theatre training in a loving Christian community.  However, Rosebud School of the Arts is not only for Christians.  If your spirit longs for a home, you can find it in Rosebud.  We are looking for people with hearts that are seeking for Truth, for Love, for a place where they fit, and ultimately for the loving heart of God Himself.

The Spirit of God is loving, caring, compassionate and kind, and yet at the same time, the Spirit of God can be wild, bold, extravagant, unpredictable and passionate.  Regardless of your experience with the Spirit, it is undeniably exciting! The Spirit seems to feel at home in Rosebud, bounding through the coulees like a lion and touching hearts with every pounce.  Every year students discover and experience the Spirit of God in a way that they have never experienced God before. 

Rosebud exists to uncover, release and polish the creative gifts that the Spirit has placed in each of us.  So we ask you again…
