Transfer Students
As a conservatory-based training programme, RSA accepts transfer credit for courses from other institutions on a block basis only. Advanced standing will be granted to students who have completed course work equivalent to our Certificate in Theatre Foundations or Mentorship Programme Level I.
We welcome applications for Mentorship Level I and Level II from students who have completed the prerequisite training elsewhere.
Mature Students
Special admission may be granted to adult students without a high school diploma, if the student is at least 21 years of age, has appropriate work or volunteer experience and has been out of school for a minimum of two years.
Home-Schooled Students
Students from a home-schooling programme must demonstrate appropriate skills for the area of study. Their aptitude for the arts and completion of Grade 12 level subjects (English, Social Studies and 3 other subjects) may be confirmed through a portfolio and/or marks from their home-study programme.
Students 21 years of age or older may also demonstrate this level of achievement through GED testing with a score of 45 or higher in English, Interpreting Literature and the Arts, and Social Studies.
Portfolio requirements available on request.
Part-time Students
Training at Rosebud requires a full-time commitment.
Part-time study is not possible towards the completion of a particular programme. Registration for one or two courses may be considered if the applicant’s abilities and circumstance warrant an exception to the rule.
Students with Disabilities
Rosebud School of the Arts welcomes students with disabilities who meet current academic and programme admission standards. Rosebud School of the Arts makes its best effort to accommodate the needs of qualified students with disabilities.
