How To Apply - Five Easy Steps
  1. Complete the application form downloaded from the website. All programmes require a high school diploma or equivalent. Your application should be started two to three months (or longer, especially in the case of International Students) in advance of the application due date.

  2. Ask arts teachers, youth workers and other adults whom know you well to fill out and send in the reference form about your abilities and talents. Make sure that they promptly mail us the forms.

  3. Request transcripts from your previous educational institutions so they can send us your marks as soon as possible.

  4. Once your application is received, we contact you with available times to set up a Scout Week so you can discover for yourself everything Rosebud has to offer. During Scout Week, you live and work with us in the hamlet of Rosebud. This week includes an interview and a talent assessment.
  5. The education team reviews your file once references, transcripts, and other paperwork are processed.  Within a couple of weeks, you will be notified of the decision.

The Application Form can be downloaded in PDF format by clicking here. Applicants are asked to submit the following:

  2. Education history
  3. Transcript records for last completed programme of study
  4. Personal statement responding to the application form question
  5. Signature & date
  6. Three (3) reference forms, completed by someone who knows you well at this point in your life, for example, a pastor, teacher, employer, or friend. The application process ALSO includes a Scout Week, an interview, and a talent assessment.

2. References
References should be chosen to fulfill two purposes:

  • To provide evidence of previous accomplishments in the arts and other fields
  • To provide a character reference in terms of spiritual growth and work habits

References must be sent directly to Rosebud School of the Arts and remain confidential.

3. Transcripts
You will need to request a transcript of grades from the previous educational institutions you attended. Please allow the institution sufficient time to process and send your transcript directly to Rosebud School of the Arts. Many schools require a small fee for this service.

4. Scout Week
You are invited to come for a week and discover Rosebud for yourself – audit classes, see a show at Rosebud Theatre, work in hospitality, experience small town life, ask all your questions, reflect on the direction your life is meant to take…and get a free T-shirt! By the end of the week, you will sense if Rosebud is the right place for your growth as a Christian artist. Scout Weeks are offered throughout the year at times suitable for both the school and the applicant.

Scout Week Activities
Scouts settle into accommodation on Monday evening and leave Saturday afternoon, unless a shorter week is arranged. The week is filled with various activities designed to give scouts ample opportunity to discover Rosebud and to meet the staff and students.

Scouts are scheduled to observe classes – for example, choir and acting – as they are offered, and they will attend a dinner and theatre performance. Scouts will also be asked to help out in places such as the dining room, kitchen, or gift shop and assist with cleaning duties. An interview and talent assessment rounds out the week.

5. After you Apply
After the education team determines your acceptance, you will be contacted by the recruitment officer and receive an official letter from the registrar. Applications received after May will be determined on programme availability. You may defer your acceptance for one year.
